Yes. And peaches. And bless your heart!
I’m a northerner. I’ve had commercial shine but never homemade.

I’ve had some in Johnston county. And some from Slovenia the old man brought back in 1972. Mom keeps telling me I should take the remaining half bottle back home with me. That dude Sunfox who used to post here would know what it is!I’m a northerner. I’ve had commercial shine but never homemade.
Yeah ... "apple jack" shine seems to be the most common of the flavored stuff. Down in the foothills around Shelby and Hickory they use peaches for a kind of "peach melba" thing. My sweet tooth has me leaning toward apples and cinnamon when choosing my mason jar liquor.
I used to work with a guy who's Dad down in Harnett Co. ran a still and farmed watermelons. The only passable shine I've ever had was the watermelon infused stuff he used to make. It wasn't smooth, per se, but it didn't immediately attack the lining of your stomach either.I’ve had some in Johnston county. And some from Slovenia the old man brought back in 1972. one of my college roommates from north Hampton county would bring back these moonshine cherries from home. Holy cow. Jim Rutherford whacked Jason Karmanos.
Not a fan of straight corn liquor. Gimme peach, especially if it's well made. Run 3 times with a nice peach finish. MMMmmm.Yeah ... I mean, the straight illegal stuff tastes like gasoline, so it needs something to cut the nastiness. Either way that stuff is foul.
Imagine if every teenager in our lifetimes had their future/career/life ruined by mistakes and immaturity? I'm not excusing his behavior, but they need to let it go. The family is set on ruining his career 4 years after his sad behavior. I'm not a big fan of cancel culture. Everyone has skeletons. If he hasn't learned from his mistakes, he'll mess up again and it will be dealt with.Coyotes first pick has a criminal past. Do they do background checks? Probably will now

In principal, yes ... but it's worth noting that the Coyotes press release is playing it off like they are making some sort of humanitarian effort by taking this kid, when in fact it's pretty obvious that they had no idea (or didn't care) about his past. Painting with broad strokes, I don't think a kid's entire future should be settled by stupid mistakes made in youth. Looking at it on a more micro level, I'd be 100% fine if the team I support took a pass on him in the draft ... or at least didn't spend a 1st rounder on someone with that particular history.Imagine if every teenager in our lifetimes had their future/career/life ruined by mistakes and immaturity? And look ... in sports, your draft selections are always judgement calls. On talent, on physical makeup and potential, and on character. So trying to remove value judgements from the process is kind of never happening. I don't think you are cancelling a prospect by taking him in a lower round because you have concerns about ... pretty much anything. And that's an outcome that wouldn't have resulted in a single raised eyebrow.
